Who We Are
Preamble
Values are those standards that have been agreed as indicators of acceptable behaviour and given expression through interpersonal relationships, communication and attitude towards social and community development. The author, Dolores Curran listed Values and Morals as one of the key characteristics of the healthy family.
Typically, nations grow on a tripod of education, industry and social values, with values as a critical component of the tripod. The world is struggling with erosion of values that threaten traditionally and culturally accepted social norms and mores.
Nigeria has not been found immune to the moral crisis affecting the world and this is made manifest in our social, economic and especially our political life. It is also evident in the challenges and dysfunctionality that frequently surface in homes, schools, offices, businesses and political leadership.
The public educational system is thoroughly dysfunctional with consequences for industry and commercial activities being severely impacted and in some cases practically comatose, and social values that could drive a resuscitation of the former has been unfortunately eroded. This situation has been exacerbatedby an impoverished populace too weak to ensure compliance to previously commonly held collective moral values
The situation in Nigeria calls for urgent redress and remedy as it continues to impede and hamper national progress, individual and social development and growth. Thus, we are duty bound to join in the effort to drive a Values Rebirth and reorientation, in order to collectively enable strong family units and social institutions, raise wholesome children and forward looking youth population moderate materialistic tendencies and avarice.
Families, social institutions and communities should be encouraged to consistently collaborate for improved and consistent standard of living and quality of life, sense of community, justice, equity and public good, and enabling a perception of the good of the collective over the individual. All programs will be delivered free to participants and sponsored by selected partners whose organisations corporate values, corporate governance and corporate culture align with ours
